A meeting to gather opinions from organizations representing each type of disability, as well as relevant professional organizations.

On January 8, 2026, the Digital Television Association (Thailand) organized a public consultation meeting with organizations representing various types of disabilities, as well as relevant professional organizations, regarding the provision of Audio Description (AD), Closed Captioning (CC), and Sign Language Interpretation (SL) services. The meeting aimed to exchange views on the appropriate provision of these services in alignment with the needs of users, and to further develop more effective service guidelines. The event was held at Sailom Meeting Room 5011, Auditorium Building, 1st Floor, Office of the NBTC.

Mr. Chavarong Limpattamapanee, Vice President of the Digital Television Association (Thailand), presided over the meeting, which was organized to provide an opportunity for representatives from various organizations to express their opinions, offer suggestions, and share real-life service experiences. Ms. Kawarin Silapat, Association Manager, served as the moderator.

Participants included representatives from national digital television broadcasters, both commercial and public service operators, as well as representatives from relevant agencies and organizations. These included officials from the NBTC Office; Mr. Praiwet Satanasat, representative of the Thailand Association of the Blind; Mr. Wittayut Bunnak; Ms. Sudarat Mekchai; Mr. Thawatchai Ngamthanapaisan; Ms. Nadda Mairot, representative of the National Association of the Deaf in Thailand; Mr. Praiwan Saengsunthorn, President of the Thai Sign Language Interpreters Association; and representatives from NSTDA, among others.

The outcomes of this meeting are expected to benefit all stakeholders, particularly television operators, by enabling them to utilize the insights gained to further improve and enhance the quality of their services.
